Celebrating Ten Years of Fresh Water!

It feels like just yesterday that my buddy Steve stopped by my house to tell me about his big idea. He’d gotten some friends together to build a well for a village in India.

Those friends had shared the idea with other friends, who had built more wells. 

Suddenly, that big idea had become a movement. Friends, working together, helping other Friends around the world who needed fresh water.

Fresh Water Friends.

Ten years later, our Friends have provided flood relief, bottled water, and water filters. They’ve helped others survive a global pandemic. They’ve built toilets and pipelines. They’ve finished more than 650 wells!!

But they’ve built something even better.

They’ve built a way for people to be seen, known, and unconditionally loved, through gifts of life that will last for generations.

That has transformed lives.

These wells have helped girls go to college and train for careers that were once far-fetched dreams. They’ve healed an entire village from mosquito-borne illness. They’ve brought hope and opportunity to places that previously didn’t even have roads!

Whether it’s helping our Friends in Nepal who are recovering from the recent floods and landslides or building wells for villages in India who dream of a better future, we want to be there. And we can’t wait to see what the next ten years brings!

To everyone who has loved, served, and sacrificed to make these ten years possible - without you, there is no us. You are the people who make this mission happen. Thank you for giving so selflessly, and transforming the lives of so many.
